lyrics
I want to tell you what we’ve done to get here
on top of nothing
king to a city of ash
I want to show you where I’ve been, but I can’t
it makes me sick to think that we’ve done this to ourselves
now I’ll forfeit my hand
take this mess you want it all
good fortune’s mistress in a red dress
and you know that
by this noose I’ll hang
my number’s up on the board again
I want to show you what I’ve done, but I can’t
this is harder than I’d like to admit
I want to show you where I’ve been, but I can’t
all that matters now is that you know you were the only comfort I couldn’t keep
take this mess you want it all
good fortune’s mistress in a red dress
and you know that by this noose I’ll hang
my number’s up on the board again
I guess you don’t need this any more than me
I bet I won’t want this any more than you
I hope she won’t have it any harder than me
I guess we don’t need this any more than you
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
PIB is my favourite hardcore band. I love their sound and aggression. No one does it like them. It’s a perfect blend of hardcore, punk, grunge, dirty and grimey. PIB ‘til I DIE honeydill
Adopting an optimistic, genre-fluid mindset atypical to most contemporary punk rock, the Aussies rage against the machine with glee. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2024
From the first deadened cowbell to the last dissonant guitar interval, Dutch quartet Geo's new record is shaped for impact. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 25, 2024
This album is amazing from start to finish! It's got such a cool, poetic, punk rock vibe. Hits the soul, for real. Please come play in Miami, Florida soon! Thank you for your art! richnice1975
