lyrics
putting all the pieces into places that we need them
we don’t have to understand them
we just want to make sense of this mess that’s ours
wait or is it? is it his or mine or ours or theirs or hers
maybe it’s the last one who’s left standing holding onto bloody remnants
of what we had
of what was lost
or what we now owe
take this trash you stole and bring it back to those who know
how to care for something so broken it’s impossible to fix
trying not to make amends
that’s the same as admitting guilt
for all your crimes
we wouldn't dare apologize
but finally our acceptance might begin to shine a light on how to see
just how fucked we wouldn’t be
if we’d listened from the start
if we hadn’t come at all
buying everything we can to soothe the burn
it’s the least we can’t do or the most we can
but every little secret has it’s place in making peace with what we’ve ruined
it’s all so complicated
born with the guilt of generations hated
we’re all to blame for taking
what we never had the right to claim
we’re all to blame for this
stop and admit we’re all complicit
there's blood on your hands
the rivers too dry to wash them

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

PIB is my favourite hardcore band. I love their sound and aggression. No one does it like them. It’s a perfect blend of hardcore, punk, grunge, dirty and grimey. PIB ‘til I DIE honeydill
Adopting an optimistic, genre-fluid mindset atypical to most contemporary punk rock, the Aussies rage against the machine with glee. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2024
From the first deadened cowbell to the last dissonant guitar interval, Dutch quartet Geo's new record is shaped for impact. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 25, 2024

This album is amazing from start to finish! It's got such a cool, poetic, punk rock vibe. Hits the soul, for real. Please come play in Miami, Florida soon! Thank you for your art! richnice1975
